We're looking into two cases of video production for DIGITAL BEE clients.
Case 1. Creating Preroll for TeamDesk
DIGITAL BEE has a client – TeamDesk, an online database platform for business. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? :)
In fact, a database is a basis for any businesses. Customer contacts? This is a database. Project management system? And this is database too. Estimation applications? This is also a database. We can go on like this for a long time. But that’s not what we had to do.
Our task was to create a short video - a preroll - in English that would demonstrate the value of our client’s product for business and its superiority over traditional solutions. The target audience has been identified as small/medium business owners, men 30-50 years.
The idea was to show the story of two friends who have used different types of software to work with databases in their companies. The script combined two concepts - comparison and "replacement". For comparison, Excel was selected as a vivid and a very common example of a complex, multi-functional program to perform the required business functions. A "replacement" was intended to demonstrate that when buying our client’s product, you get much more than just a convenient business tool - namely, success.
A separate challenge was to "hook" the TA and display the client’s logo in the first 5 seconds of video.
Initially, the basic image video just over 2 minutes was created that could be placed on the corporate website and various landing pages:
Using this video as a source, we've produced 2 more clips, intended for various purposes:
- Extended promotional video – to be used as a preroll, lasting about a minute;
- Short teaser video, lasting less than 10 seconds.
Case 2. Image Video for Softinvest.ua
Another DIGITAL BEE client – a management company Softinvest Holding - wanted to create a multi-purpose video that could be used on different communication channels.
The video (in Russian and English) had to represent the company, describe all its departments and demonstrate up-to-date achievements. The premiere was planned to be held at the company's corporate event with employees being the main audience.
From the very beginning, it was obvious that the standard "slide presentation" with a voiceover wouldn't suit the case. Therefore, we proceeded "by contradiction" and offered to make the video highly dynamic.
This goal was achieved thanks to a few tricks. Firstly, a vigorous soundtrack was created specifically for the video. Secondly, action cameras and stabilizers were used for dynamic shooting. And third, to keep the viewer's attention throughout the video, interior animation technique was used to highlight the text information.
And here is what we got as a result:
The customer also has at its disposal the source video that can be used in any other company project.
It’s too early to talk about the results (number of views, searches through and conversion), but we are collecting the data and plan to add the numbers to this post as soon as we get them.
